And the whole pay thing is... and has been quite obvious to me for a long long long time. Too bad nobody listens. If I were paid based on longevity, I wouldn't care if I were bumped. Now, I certainly will, and so will a whole lot of other guys.
And there will be a follow on WB order coming, but it is beginning to look like a net wash career earnings wise. I think your stagnation statement is quite over the top though. We are gonna hire a bunch of guys in the coming years. SOMEBODY is going to be moving up, the newhires cannot all be going into the 717/88...
I sure hope your right about the stagnation, but for the near term it doesn't look pretty. It sure would have been nice to see the trickle down affects on the Senority list of 8 744A positions(that is if they actually back filled for once). Bet ya one heck of an early retirement package is on the way. Way more cheaper to pay guys to leave than go thru hundreds of training cycles especially for the guys close to 65.
