I believe, however, that Starcheck is wrong on ALPA ever endorsing a Presidential candidate. I believe ALPA endorsed Clinton in 1996 and Kerry in 2004 through votes of the Executive Board.
Take a look at the PAC website. Last time I checked it was 60D-40R for contributions and growing more balanced all the time. Pilot Partisan ALPA has made some good friends on both sides of the aisle, with almost every letter or legislative action sponsored or pushed by ALPA coming with sponsors from both major parties.
Actually, Starcheck was totally incorrect. ALPA has endorsed presidential candidates and ALPAs chairman encouraging members to vote for Obama may not be an official endorsement but it sure is tacit.
UALs MEC followed suit and officially endorsed Obama.
