Instead you savages ASA/GOJET/PINNACLE/SKYWEST took their planes in stride.......PSA, 2007, offered 40 900's for same pay, we voted NO, offered again a year later, voted NO to protect our industry and the likes of YOU. US Air took our planes converted them to 175's and gave them to REPUBLIC, we furloughed. hey thanks Republic for going for that quick upgrade.
So did we trust our "brothers and sister" at the regionals to stand with us?....HEEELLL NO! We could have been closed up and slinging gear for guys like jt8d
you stood strong eagle, thanks but we aren't going to jump off the bridge with you, your 700's will be going to another and ours would have too.
1. Eagle took concessions while their parent company was bankrupt. PSA took concession while their parent company had posted record profits.
2. Comair raised the bar, although Awac still has an equal to or better contract than comair, under a 2001 concessionary contract from united express.
While I understand the feeling of most psa pilots, 900's for Mesa, 175s for rah, seeing planes disappear from your grasp as you say no to a crap sandwich. This time you took a bite, in the end, you make your own meal. Let just hope hiring continues at majors and we all can enjoy a career there. Crap sandwiches for a career at lowly regionals would to me seem like jail sentence.
