This is the "weirdest" thread I've read in a long time!! Who cares who buys who dinner or a drink! It's a nice tradition and I've treated and been treated but that should always be a personal choice it shouldn't be done by pressure. I personally would feel very uncomfortable having someone buy me drinks and dinner continually! (Not how I was raised and I think its a little rude!?)

I would accept a welcome to the airline drink or small food item but think more than that is excessive!! Definitely, not after a year and/or more than one item on a trip! Just saying!
