Sure, there is such a thing as negotiating capitol, but all too often the union really gets into this "what do you want to give up if you really want that?" That should never be their attitude. As we get closer, keep an eye out for it.
I agree and it amazes me that this has been the union attitude....it almost like negotiating at a used car lot with terrible credit....where does this attitude at this day in age come from?! During the next 10 years which are arguably the best time in years for airline union gains, yet we handicap them with the "stockholm syndrome" that persists within the Atlas pilot group. It seems thoroughly entrenched through most of the 10+ year guys, I've been here for 4 years and can't stand to be associated with such a lacky spineless attitude. ITs embarrassing after all the sacrifices and efforts over many years of our careers that guys here don't have i'm sorry to say a proud place to be a part of. ITs as though i'm just happy to be here and grateful to be a part of the dysfunctional ineffective pilot team and make a little $ on the side!

Guys want experience in our upcoming EXCO but whats stated above is what that'll get us it seems in the fall....more of the same
