It's well known that the 900 burn less fuel than the 175. No one is arguing that. The point was Delta buys the cheaper airplane and it so happens that the cheaper airplane burns less fuel. Bombardier is struggling to sell their airplanes so they're more willing to sell them at cheaper prices to get more out the door. Delta is taking advantage. Delta loves nothing more than a cheap airplane.
