I know plenty of Captains who don't know they are flying into weather until it shows up on MY MFD...not theirs because they are busy not caring. Maybe the FO is sitting there on FB because you are so busy thinking to yourself how awesome you are that you neglect to even try to include him in the decision making or perform even the slightest hint of mentoring.
