But you don't see that, so it never happened/s. The captain is paid more because he is responsible for not just his job but yours too, and insuring that you do your walk around instead of finger banging your phone is dirty, nasty work.

I hope I never have to fly with either of you. The worst captains out there are the ones who don't respect their FOs or who have forgotten what it's like to be an FO. If you think we don't work hard and you do all of the work then you've clearly forgotten what it's like to be an FO. Obviously you have extra responsibility. That's why you're paid $40/hour more than me. If you want to complain about that responsibility then downgrade back to FO and take your $40 paycut.
If you have a problem with one of your FOs playing with their phone when they're supposed to be doing something, or taking too long to do the walk around talk to them. Maybe they don't know that it offends you. Maybe they're just a little tired and slowing down. Either way communicating to your FO that it's bothering you is probably all that needs to happen to make it stop. You both sound like you'd rather play god captain than actually communicate and be a good crew member.
