I met with a FO who told me I had a strong resume but didn't know anything about the three tiers, how to score it and thought that our resumes were just shredded. I indeed hope they pull our online application and score it.
It was great seeing Captain Flanigan and Mr. Kraby in the trenches talking to us. It really shows they care, I just wish I had met with one of them. Guys that did were told how they roughly scored. That would be worth the $1k+ cost of traveling there and paying for all the other ancillary fees.

Does anyone know if Delta gives more points for the number of LOR's on file or is 10 equivalent to 1?

I was told at OBAP, the more LOR's the better but I have also been told that you need to be careful with who gives you a LOR. I have a buddy that had no contacts and just got hired with only one LOR. I had the honor and chance to meet with Cal Flannigan and he is one of the gate keepers to reviewing your application. He said he would not tell me how they score the app since it wasn't fair and was confidential. I heard that they have three tiers as well and he said they have more than that but would not tell me. He saiid they give your app a score and it goes into a folder. They then pull from the folders to call for interviews. I heard someone say that Arnie told him at WIA that he is in tier II and he is already working for delta now.

At Obap they actually just review your app with you and tell you they will shred it after the conference since they do not want to be liable for the information on your resume. They take all the resume they collect at the job fair and then review each app from the resume name. The app then receives a score and is placed in a folder for an interview. Your interview invite is based on how your app scores. I asked Flannigan about misspelling and he said it will decrease your score if your have a lot of grammar issues. A internal LOR will also get your app reviewed and scored too. I wouldn't say going to the job fair is a do or die thing as to getting on at delta. It only helps you to get your actual application to be looked at. If it your app scores high enough then you will get the interview.
