The market will reset. All regionals have to do is raise pay by say 10 bucks an hour and they will have plenty of pilots. Still B scale rates. 50 seaters will go away, and 75 seaters will be renegotiated at a higher, but still cheaper than mainline, rate.
"Regionals" flying 1000 mile routes will NOT go away. Mainline won't get the routes. Prices will go up five bucks per leg, and there will still be a B scale. Everything is solved.
If price point is such a big deal that paying 3-4 bucks per flight hour by our customers is outrageous, they surely won't pay 8-10 bucks more for a mainline pilot.
