I interviewed last month. There was a member who did not get hired from our day, but we were not told why she didn't get hired. Also, someone the day before us did not get hired and they told him that he failed a subsection of the COG test. So there are minimum scores on the testing. I can't speak to whether the scale is sliding or not (ie, if they really like you from HR but you didn't do as well as they would like on tech test), but I really do doubt it. I thought the HR section was a non-event. It was very pleasant and extremely conversational. They had questions prepared but many questions spawned from other answers that you gave to previous questions. For example, you may mention your college in your intro, then they asked a follow on question regarding college. Like, I said it was conversational, I almost had to remind myself that I was in an interview, and not just chatting with someone that I just met. I highly recommend Emerald Coast to prep for the HR portion. They do grade your responses in the HR interview, I think on a scale of 1 to 5, but I tried not to look down as they were writing! This is bad form, but also covered by ECIC in their prep course!

My best advice is to study your butt off with gouge and books like Everything Explained and prepare your answers for TMAAT questions, and you should be fine.
