I have more than my share in my driving record from 15 years ago while in HS. No DUI or DWI. Just speeding.
Graduated with honors in HS, College, and Graduate school. Flawless FAA record with over 8000+TT and 9 years of Part 121. Lots of voluntary work on my resume. Other things going for me as well on the app, but I do worry a lot about my driving record from 98-99.
I guess it will come down to how I explain myself.
They didnt give me an interview because I showed up at WIA. They gave me an interview because of the things I have done in the past 15 years. Showing up at WIA probably just showed to them how bad I want the job.
Ask yourself if you have anything that sets you apart from the other 10,000 applicants. If answer is no, go after something that will set you apart, be a high up connection, post graduate school, community service, etc.....
Again, chances of me getting hired are 50/50, but glad to have the chance and it shows that hard work pays off.
I will be very frustated if not offered the job, but I know that I have prepared the best that I can. Can't change my stupid behavior from
98-99.
