I have worked for three different airlines and this is the only one where I have ever found myself at a layover with no hotel assigned and no way to get a hold of anyone without sitting on hold for an hour. The irony in this is that this is by far the best company I have ever worked for. That tells me that these situations should not happen. Our system needs fixed. The company that runs crew accommodations needs to be replaced, and these jobs need to be brought in house.
It's too bad they don't just contract with a hotel area 30-45 minutes away from the airport and use the employee parking lot buses to move crews there. I've seen those buses be used to pick employees up coming off a 738 at the FBO on the north side of the airport.
