I would say nothing is impossible.

Read "Flying Drunk", one of those guys got busted with an FWI and got his job back eventually.

5 years maybe too soon I'm not sure, but if ever there was a time it is now, in my opinion you would probably have to go above and beyond just completing a program and a year or so of sobriety. It would probably take some kind of leadership or volunteer work within the recovering population.
