My proposal is that if vacancies and displacements happen simultaneously. Hence if there an displacements, those FO's that just rode it out, can
not upgrade and bump someone else who made the jump, sat reserve, gone to a base other than their ideal choice, etc. Those folks didn't need the extra paycheck then, they can do without it now instead of forcing a new Captain back into a lower paid position. Another good substitute would be that displacements keep their CA pay 12 months....
I know seniority rules but at what price? Being able to kick others because you can? I disagree completely.
