I don't know much about R&I stuff, but aren't unqualified funds always at risk if the carrier goes under or the plan is terminated?
All true and no argument on your points. My issue was that POS Moak turned his back on ALL retired Delta pilots, not only those that were retiring early. He collaborated with management to actually fight those who were trying to represent the retired pilots, with high fives all around (literally) when decisions came down against said pilots. Again, not even a friggin grievance, since historically ALPA has represented retired pilots in negotiations.
All water under the bridge, but as I said earlier, why would anyone be surprised at his "behavior" given his past history? This was action against his own brethren at DAL when he he was the MEC chair. So why wouldn't he throw others under the bus. And BTW, the NWA retired pilots were able to retain their non qualed benefits.
