With them approaching the end of the Captain list for the ssp and no upgrades in sight aren't they going to be done with ssp interviews in the next few months? Combining this with the mesaba flow being over wouldn't that stop the required hiring numbers of Endeavor pilots? If someone knows for sure plz chime in.
Correct, the Mesaba flow is done, and the SSP is a significant way through the captain list. However, there are several months of interviews possible with current captains, not including second-interviews eligible this fall. Over 100+ Endeavor captains with CJOs are waiting for class dates at Delta, so upgrades would increase the available pool for the SSP if new hires could be found to bolster the first officer ranks. As the remaining 200s are parked and staffing might stabilize, some equilibrium could be reached. The devil in the details is attrition - currently over 40 pilots a month, mostly captains.
