Just curious, I know in the past "who I knew" was really important at Alaska. Problem is, I'm from a geographical area of the country where I don't know of any Alaska pilots discourage you in the least bit. I know pilots at every other Legacy/Major, but not Alaska. Aside from this, I feel I'm very well qualified. Just wait and see?
Of course I would move to an Alaska base if hired.
Don't let the fact that you're from a geographical area where you don't know any Alaska pilots discourage you. I always heard that unless you were heavily connected to someone at Alaska, you'd never get hired. That's simply not true. I was hired without knowing anyone inside the company and it was my qualifications that got me hired, and not who I knew. Don't listen to the negativity of those on this board or you'll never even try. Especially if you listen to the likes of packrat.
