First of all that would be illegal today, and not just because of 117. It became illegal I think in the late 90's even prior to Whitlow. Some amount of long call helps the company because if everyone is on SC every day, then even if you stagger it perfectly, you have very few crews actually legal to do most trips as they come up. Of course they'd love a 10 hour long call better than 12 if we'd give it to them. We briefly got 13 on paper, but immediately gave it back to 12.
With 6 SC's and 7 when they need it most, and 2 seperate bucket systems, the company rarely if ever is in a position to actually need and benefit from more than that.
Plus that whole pattern bargaining thing. We're not the only ones with a long call system and its not like its unreasonable.
