ALPA neutered themselves. Instead of having a min pay/contract level for ALPA carriers, they allowed the same process that existed at the majors to happen at the commuters. Only, they were idiots because only an idiot would think that the business model was the same.

Standard ALPA procedure is 70% of CA wages to be paid to the F/O. The regionals are NO WHERE near that level. They are down around 35%-40%.

The conspiracy theorist in me says ALPA doesn't care, because the less they pay the commuters the more mainline guys can make.
