Xjt's management wants to keep comparing themselves to other regionals and running it as such but the reality is we are an operation that cannot operate like a regional with 30 airplanes. We have a route structure, multiple bases, and a very different way of doing business on two sides of XJT's operation. We are more complex than many LCCs and are right up there with legacies when it comes to operational issues.
The mickey mouse hour is over. Promoting pilots and flight attendants to "manage" isn't cutting it. They wanted a super regional and created a behemoth of an airline that cannot be run like a regional. Step one is never using the word regional when referring to XJT. Step two is getting people that understand why step 1 is necessary in positions of power.
