Actually your whole college experience is a very good indicator of what kind of employee you may be. Someone who finished college in the normal time period with good grades is typically someone who will show up on time and do what they are asked as an employee.
Past employment history and performance is a much better indicator, but that is not always available to the employer that is hiring.
Wow, it's just an odd metric. My degree was a 5 year dual degree program, that took me 7 years, since I had a company to run. Although, my degree doesn't matter since I'm from 9E, weird.......
