I have had about 20 jobs, 4 flying. I have applied to about 25 if my memory is somewhat rational. I only applied to jobs I thought I was qualified for.

Applying for 500 and interviewing for 2? Sounds like 498 were under qualified applications.

I am an average guy. The aviation job market worldwide is the best ever but you have to be qualified. If you are not qualified you have to work your way up, just as I, and most others, did. Flight instruction, Africa, etc. You gotta do what you gotta do.
