EDITED TO ADD: I'm not an expert. I have worked with several different types of clearances in the past and administered some programs. There are exceptions to everything and many programs have very specific requirements.
I know that when I PCS my clearance is deactivated and then reactivated when I occupy an MTOE slot that requires a clearance. In short, after I leave the service I'll have about 2 years to meet those company minimums or is their a possibility that because I had a clearance in the past that they would be willing to pay for the SSBI if my clearance in not current?
