They are leased by UAL (all but 8 of them that they do own) but they are committed to xjt by the CPA. Once the leases expire, then it's fair game for UAL to do what they want with them.
CPAs can be are are regularly amended with a handshake and the stroke of a pen. Just saying. I hope that plan B and C Is ready.
