Default What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

Not with any more 76 seaters coming. They are maxed out after the 70 are placed in service. So they won't park most of the 50 seaters until UAL has small narrow bodies on property. And even then, why would the park the 50 seaters that are the cheapest for UAL?

No, I don't go telling anyone they should take concessions. We are not required to take concessions no what you say reality is. The reality is they management told us we would have a static fleet plan with no new contract and we still voted no. And that's ok with me.

Another thing, you don't seem to understand what I mean by plan b. What I'm talking about is having something so that you don't have to rely on this company. You make it sound like only the ASA MEC has a plan anyway. Both MECs are doing what they beeline is in the best interest of their pilots but only your MEC complains about it.

And this is precisely why I say everyone should have a plan b. If everyone did, we would never even have the opportunity to vote on a concessionary TA.

So why don't you just worrying about your side and stop repeating management's favorite phrase about getting rid of this side's "outliers."

Honestly, you and captain tony just sound scared of your future prospects. If you weren't concerned like I am of the ERJ guys possibly losing their jobs, then you wouldn't be here whining about anything our MEC does or says or we say.

There is NO manual globalization. Do you even know what you're talking about? (That was rhetorical, as it is evident that you don't.)

The PWG doesn't globalize; they optimize QOL for the pilots. Our bid process is 100% transparent, unlike certain other PBS programs. You are awarded trips based on your preferences in sequential order. When your stated preference returns multiple trips (which you have stated are all equally desirable to you), the PWG has a hand in picking which trip you will get in order to optimize your schedule and that of the other pilots. At the end of the process you can see exactly how your schedule was awarded.

It's really not a hard concept to grasp. Therefore it's pretty obvious some XJT folks are on a misinformation campaign in order to deceive their constituents into thinking SmartPref is better for them.

Has it occurred to any ASA guys that the xjt MEC feels that smartpref would more closely maintain the QOL of life that we are used to with our ILIW and scheduling work rules? They have even said that flight line can be made to work but in order to make it at least as good as our current QOL, the work rules needed would be harder to attain then those needed for smartpref? This has been explained many many times over and over again. It's not about just winning some sill victory. If that was the case, they wouldn't have agreed to all the concessions in the last TA!

As for flight line, what's been said about it to us is that it socializes. Yes, it awards pilots their trips in seniority order but it also forces EVERYONE into the same box, if you will.
