TexanDriver - I was in your shoes, and I actually had a choice. I chose the 737 to ATL, but I also considered the 717 to ATL. I chose the 737 because that was the airplane I wanted to fly and the trip locations were better, but mostly because I did not want to do 4-5 legs per day. Generally the 737 will fly 1-2 if longer legs and also plenty of 3-leg days and occasionally 4 legs. With the hiring that is going to be happening in the next few years, I wouldn't necessarily prioritize seniority. AND, you will be seat locked for only one year as a new hire, so you could always change planes. Pick a jet you want to fly and a route schedule you think will be fun. It's a personal choice for sure...many positives for both choices.
