There was never a fleet plan in the bankruptcy concessionary deal it was another one of team Tony's charades. However; we do have furlough protection which it doesn't cover every pilot on property.
Now what I don't understand is how people complain here about not having a fleet plan! Yet when they are offered one with the last TA it then it wasn't enough.
We have a pilot group that elected our current MEC and its leadership but nothing has changed as a matter of fact it is worse than ever.
Less block hours = bad schedules
It still take 7+ years to upgrade.
No fleet plan.
No certainty that we will even make it to the amendment round.
PBS still up in the air and no chance of passing here because most MEC members don't understand the LOA and that means most line pilots don't understand it either.
Many people in these forums got to test the company and factually you can see that the CUJOS the Val Jesters the Kelly Pauls and Chris Murrays told pilots that the company would never find out anyone to fly the jets, they were wrong and now we the line pilots will pay the price.
Every month that we lose flying we lose money and that is a concession that one could argue is greater than the April TA presented to the pilots ever was.
ALPA didn't do its duty when presenting the facts. The officers shielded themselves behind NDAs and flat out said to people or held information so they could prove their point on the pilot shortage the market value of the pilot profession and the short term future of the airline.
CUJO said they will never staff the airplanes! He was wrong.
Dallas officers told people in the crew rooms that the company would come back with a better deal! Wrong
Herb Mark openly would tell pilots how bad the deal was yet his job as a negotiator is to bring the best deal possible and now he wants to run for MEC chair as if he didn't do enough harm as a chair before.
Anyone that was a Captain at the MEC knew that they had an out and the 824 that team Tony got them was their salvation they get to give the finger to the company and yet they stay with the same management that keeps on pounding their eagle pilots.
Business don't unfortunately work on what we think is fair. They work on the basis of black or red ink and your US airways group managers aren't AMR managers. We got played. And there is nothing we can do unless we get involved and ask tough questions to the MEC.
Well said.
