Ive already posted my views on AWAC's future to much criticism. A lot of great people working there, I truly wish the best for everyone there and I still have very good friends that work there. I left after 5 years in 2010... it was not this uber well treating regional that people espouse here but it wasn't a bad job (it certainly wasn't a great one though). From my vantage point I still see the titanic rolling up to that Iceberg... I hope I am wrong, but I don't see a single thing that pops and says AWAC will be in business in 3-5 years.
I'm not bashing Awac I think it's a descent regional to work at from what I've heard.I just think Awac played their hand with all those fifty seaters. There will not be any more room with AAG for larger jets.Psa is getting 30 crj 900s and from what I've heard the additional 40 are almost certain. Compass, mesa and republic are all still adding large jets for AAG. Not to mention the additional planes that hang in the balance with piedmont and envoy.Where will Awac place their planes? United, delta or AAG dosent want them.I just think they have waited too long to upgrade their fleet.I think they will just ride it out, absorb as much cash as they can and then be done with it.I could be wrong but it's alot to consider.
