majority have furlough protection (hopefully) and everyone hired October 2011 and before have jobs waiting at AA if they want to wait.. most F/O's that i know including captains are getting jobs at Allegiant, Cathay Pacific, Qatar, Emirates, Jet Blue, Spirit and a few in Delta and United, some have gotten hired of the street side into AA. So to answer your question, no they can get a job elsewhere they do not need lateral regional F/O job. Maybe one or two will but I seriously doubt it greatly.
