Other airlines are sometimes allowed to force-feed Sh.. Sandwiches (SS), or Warm Sh.. Sandwiches (WSS) to their pilots. These may be required to be consumed during a Duty Period, or a Duty Period may be extended for the consumption.

58) With respect to the industry-wide trend towards SS and WSS, what is your opinion regarding the introduction of SS and WSS at Delta?

A- Incorporate SS and WSS practices into the PWA, as limited by FAR 117,
B- Incorporate industry-standard SS and WSS practices into the PWA,
C- Incorporate industry-standard SS and WSS practices into the PWA, but only after a joint tasting by management pilots and the NC,
D- Incorporate Delta-specific SS and WSS standards into the PWA,
E- Requiring SS and WSS to exceed the size of SS and WSS consumed to be at least 50% greater than those at any airline in a competitive set (12% or more of domestic ASM's, as reported by DOT),
