Oh for ****'s sake. I almost never post, but read a lot here to keep a finger on the pulse of opinions. This thread right here is already or is going to become the highlight reel of why we have some of the problem that we do.

The truth of the matter is, the mainlines employ social engineering scientists to predict what combination of threats/carrots could be reasonably expected to achieve the lowest cost based on the specific demographics of the pilot groups. I'm sure most have heard of "big data/metadata" work google and facebook does for advertising purposes; your big companies with big labor costs do the same thing on a smaller scale.

Infighting/exfighting is what they want! All it really does is create more data so they can get just a little bit better at tightening the screws. Denying jumpseats is just prejudicial and petty because there are no 100% votes, and the old days of applying pressure on the group so they'll go out and break the kneecaps of the sellouts are gone.

If you're a "let's get ours and pull up the ladder," then shame on you, but you probably wouldn't care about my opinion anyway.

If you punish an entire group because of their majority vote, then you fit the definition of a biased bigot.

If you feel like your calling in life was to instigate animosity instead of fostering solutions by starting threads like these, you might as well exchange your line-pilot card for a management badge, because you have become part of the problem.
