I'm not trying to be a downer, but did you get on the E190 it's gonna be a long road of doing nothing but sitting in a crash pad away from home, but doing nothing.
I've been at a bunch of other airlines and never sat on resv doing nothing for months on end. I'm sure there are people here that can say I've been there, but I haven't.
In the busiest season for the airlines in the last 3 months I've flown a total of about 20 hours, which is awesome if you live in NY, if you don't it just sucks. Crash pad people getting mad because you basically live there (and I don't blame them) and try want you out. 2 hour call out so if your in queens your gonna need the whorl 2 hours during certain times of the day that is if you ever get called.
Line holders are at about 70 guys so if any open time comes up they take it and then you have 25 people on resv for maybe one trip a week. You get the picture.
The E190 and the A320 are like two totally different airlines (right now) at JetBlue.
I commute to NY knowing full well I'll do nothing for 5 days. It's not a whole lot of fun.
Not to be a downer, but you could be at your regional still doing that.

Get out of the pad! Get an xbox. Start a business. Take some classes online. Go explore NYC. What ever you do, don't go getting hookers and pick up their stash for them!

Sept October are always slow. The most I've ever flown on RSV was 42 hrs back in February of 09'. It's fly till you puke or pure boardom. Flying will increase come nov. Line divisors will go upto the 80s and 90s through March and guys will be banging out left and right. Don't worry, you'll get to fly the mighty 190 all you can stand.

With over 100 firm orders coming in the next 5-6years you'll move out of the kew soon.
I definitely agree it's better then the SS I came from that's for damn sure. I don't even so much care about flying the mighty E190, I would just like to spend a couple nights a week in a hotel room and not this pad.
We have a PS3 and I am getting pretty good at beating the 15 year olds in China on Modern Warfare.
