The OOBWS nose is already under the tent and I can kinda see why....The only problem I have with it is regular line guys who commute to another base (who cannot hold a regular line in the base they are OOBWSing to) and regularly drop their trips for the month then pick up trips where they live but cannot hold a regular(or possibly even reserve) line there. Sorry, I'm just not for this kind of schedule manipulation. If one wants to fly trips in a different base, bid that base.
IMO, allowing any kind of OOBWSing, OOBSing, etc. effects total manning for the airline in a negative way because it evens out the flying and management doesn't have to do a thing. I know there is a fine line in all of this with QOL but I believe the current system we have with OOBWSing and no OOBSing is a good compromise.
