I have traveled to and even lived on the "West Coast" for two years. I wouldn't live there if they paid me a million dollars. The culture on the West Coast is self-centered and beauty oriented. The culture on the East Coast is family centric and "God oriented". If you are an atheist and believe in living life to your personal maximum benefit then California is the place for you, but if you have any sense of community and desire to improve life for society at large then the East Coast is your home.
Now, FLAME ON

Wait...an atheist can't believe in a "sense of community and desire to improve life for society at large"? One has to be "God oriented" to be a good person? What god? Your god? The god of ISIS? YHWH? Allah? Just curious.
