I happened to be TDY on Guam in the early '70s when one of the last of those guys was brought in. He was an old man, somewhat goofy, stealing chickens to survive.
It's shocking to hear that any airline pilots are like that. I was aware that the profession had gone downhill, but -- so far, and so soon?
