It's my opinion that scope give backs etc... take a large chunk of time to manifest themselves. I would consider anyone 55 or older in the arena of it not affecting their career. It'd take at least two years to start farming out flying, a few more to spool it up, then a 55 year old's seniority would carry them basically unharmed until 63-65 when they'd be out the door anyways.
I don't place scope a distinct #1 and I'm a young guy. I believe that all the areas should be enhanced incrementally, not have all of our resources thrown at one or two items.
That's just my 1 of 12000 opinion though.
