I would not think the change would prevent the computer from putting your application on the short list which gets called for an interview, but the change might get asked about. ... turn it into a positive by stating what you learned from the experience and move on.

I will say the regional airlines were much quicker to write ugly reports (letters) and throw Captains under the bus (self disclose to the FAA) for minor deviations (like maintenance or dispatcher omissions) than Delta is. Among my circle of friends nobody I know has been called in to the CPO at Delta. Among my friends at express carriers there is something or another going on every few months. I do not know if Delta interviewers adjust their expectations for the different management philosophies at other airlines.*

Not to say Delta does not keep a close eye on things, FQA and training does that. Delta just manages things in a more proactive, positive way.
The discipline letter was about a no show I received in my first year of employment, one week shy of getting off probation. I misunderstood the call in honest policy and basically ratted on myself so I got a missed trip. I believe those strikes go away after 12 months or so, so its definitely long gone. I have no issues disclosing and explaining it. Im just hoping I haven't put a target on myself through the application process.
