Bought a new sports car and took it to the parents for viewing when I was in my early 20's. On Mom's ride she said, "lets see what it will do."
Apparently it would do well in excess of the speed limit, or at least, that was the Officer's version of events.
Got to watch out for those mothers, they'll get you into trouble.
