And on another note, I hope Allegiant doesn't have the same adversarial "testing" department that my current employer Piedmont has. It would be nice to go to training without having the feeling that a knife could go in your back at any moment.
As far as benefits, it's near the bottom of the barrel with respect to other airlines. Our medical "insurance" is a high deductible plan that is basically catastrophic coverage. Unfortunately, many other companies are heading that way as well. Dental is middle of the road and vision used to be good but we switched providers and I haven't used it yet. Very low match on the 401(k) at 4%. For a family, you'll pay about $350/month for all of it (not including HSA contributions).
The training department is getting better but it is overwhelmed now. And yes, it has been described by many as a "testing" department.
