It ended up not being needed but it was there. I think they need to work out a deal where Alpa furloughs jump to year 3 or 4 pay as newhires at another alpa regional.
ALPA or not, if you did first year pay at any Part 121 carrier, you should never have to do it again. You have already passed the training, finished OE, flew the line, got off of probation. There is value there, and I would rather have prior experience on 2nd year pay then an unknown entity.
