How are sim partners assigned? I assume they try to pair you with a captain upgrade? If not, are they assigned alphabetically, or do you bid on sim schedules like aircraft/base assignments?
Our class had a mix of new hire FO paired with new hire FO as well as upgrading CA with new hire FO. It seemed fairly random as some above and below me in class seniority had FO vs FO while I got a new CA. I am sure they try to get CA and FO pairings as much as possible. Either way, there is no choice or bidding. You get handed a schedule and it is what it is.
