Don't know about AA, but Delta's training is really not set up that way. In the interest of efficiency, we've got DGS instructors who are outsourced, then we have Flight Instructors who are FO's (well thought of and smart, but not oriented with the horsepower to go firing new hires). Typically only checking events bring out Line Check Airmen (and women) and APDs.
Simply put, an applicant can expect Delta to act with good faith. In training everyone has a good attitude and does their best to help the new hire.
True that! The training dept is excellent. Not the threat is was back in 2000 and 2001. The instruction is much better and the approach is "big boy."
