I just did mine last week from the left seat in the 320 after the LOE/SPOT training.
No big deal, but FO's should make sure you log onto the FAA IACRA site, get your FCN/password and complete the application or else you'll be stuck for a good 30 mins trying to get your temporary certificate approved and printed. I had my password/FPN, but the app took a while before the APD could sign me off. Could be a factor if you're trying to make the early flight home.
