Working for the ramp in YYC won't benefit you in terms of getting a pilot interview, as that's not FedEx Express. If you were working in the US for FedEx Express, that would put you at an advantage. I would think better priorities for now would be to earn money, finish college, and get flying experience. And, as frozenboxhauler mentioned, you'll need five years of residence in the U.S.
