Yes it was stolen. It most certainly was.
ALPA puts the pilots in a box, backs them into a corner and tells them you can have option A, or option B. You choose, you pick, you vote.
Let's see option A; you get furloughed, you go away, your job is outsourced, you lose your retirement, you get B scale wages, etc,
Option B: you give a good portion of your career away to the regionals, and you never get it back, and those pilots behind you who want a mainline career never get one, and if they do, it is 10 years behind schedule in their career expectations.
Ok, your right, that was a choice. Not much of one anyway. Way to go ALPA. Basically, Lorenzo's model is still alive and well. Divide and conquer. ALPA still is behind the bean counters and the Harvard MBA's.
