Believe me we are far from excited for this deal. It was survival to fight another day.
What you all did was buy some airplanes for AAG. He'll, you don't even know if you paid for E145s or E175s! Oh, and now you've given AAG a nice big stick to use against the other labor groups at your airline. Especially since large RJs don't have to come on property unless the other labor groups capitulate on contracts. Wow. Great job protecting yourself though. Fear is the greatest weapon a C-suite exec has available...so long as you/we succumb to it they own us as indentured servants rather than free thinking/choosing people.
As for fighting another day... People who talk about "living to fight another day" always end up living and never end up fighting. How are you planning to fight in the future? What is your line in the sand? You will still be a small airline who doesn't own its jets. You will simply continue to "live to fight another day" every time they come calling. It's like being a booty call, except it affects your family instead of just you.
