Agreed.

Everyone needs to pay attention to this - we are being setup, similar to the age 65 strategy, to have this included in the TA. What's more telling is, despite hard proof to the contrary - from the MEC Chairman himself - it is not due to an obscure LEC resolution that was defeated 7 months ago, nor due to the unscientific, self-selection biased survey by the DPA, that back channel scapegoating for CDO language in our TA has already begun

I recently attended one of the survey roadshows. The issue of leading questions came up, as did the origin of some questions, e.g., CDOs. These are my takeaways. Take them for what they're worth...
1) Lots of effort went into making the questions as comprehensive and impartial as possible, but everybody will likely find one or more questions that they believe to be leading in a particular direction.
2) There was no desire on the part of the NC to have us answer a certain way. They just want to know what we think and what we want. There are a number of different directions that negotiations might go, and the more they know about what's preferable to us, the more closely they can match our desires.
3) Questions on profit sharing, CDOs, pay banding, etc. come from beliefs that these issues may be brought up in negotiations by the other side. Knowing ahead of time how we feel about them gives the MEC and NC data on how to respond.
