It's not shiny jet syndrome. I could care less about a new jet. This has to do with ME and MY FAMILY. I'm sorry I couldn't afford to lose my job to make your life better. You see the repercussions of a no vote at Envoy, a pilot group not used to dealing with Parker, the 47 planes Envoy is losing was the Entire PSA or PDT fleet. We could have easily been shut down within a year. I'm tired of all the selfish people at Envoy whining about the regional industry. The majors need pilots. You have no reason at this point to stay at a regional. Shut up, do your time, and get out. It's simple the next wave of guys can come in and do their time and move on as well. No one promised unicorns and rainbows in this profession. I knew that getting into this and if you didn't well it sucks you had to find out the hard way. This is business and it's about being employed. If I were a builder and you came to me and another guy to build your home and I quoted you 350k and he quotes you 375k who are you going to go with? Additionally, when I find out he quoted you 375k am I going to back away and go home and say "well dear I could have secured a job today but I didn't want to undercut a guy who was doing it for more money even though I could have made decent money doing it for less but we will go hungry now so his business can grow" no I'd be an idiot to do that grow up and take a class on strategic business models and how to run a profitable company. It would help if Envoy pilots would grow up and realize this had nothing to do with you and no one tried to sabotage you. It was business and these pilot groups were by far in different positions on voting.
