I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I could not find anything using the search function. I fly a CJ3 with integrated charts on a single File Server Unit (FSU). Currently, I continue to carry paper charts as a backup, but would like to convert to an iPad.

I was hoping that it would be as simple as getting a JeppView subscription and carrying the iPad. However, it appears that this would only apply to a piston or turboprop aircraft. Am I correct that using an iPad for charts (Class 1 EFB) would require complying with AC 120-76C (Guidelines for the Certification, Airworthiness, and Operational Use
of Electronic Flight Bags)? Any thoughts?
